It is Monday morning and it feels like I have just returned from a quick break holiday. Fact is, it was nothing like lying on the beach doing nothing but actually it was three days of constant retrieval of new information, ideas, impressions. What’s wrong with me? Why can’t I just be brain-dead like most people desire for themselves? I sometimes wish I could be that simple!

Every time I go on holiday I have this idea in my mind. It is some kind of urge to do something exploring and valuable for myself. I have tried to ignore it by booking my ticket to some sort of relaxing place the average holiday person would go to. Nevertheless I found myself ended up renting a car and driving around exploring like crazy. Can’t sit still for long. That’s the way I can find my inner peace to the fullest! And I don’t mind because every time I do so it leaves a smile on my face. So now I’m brainstorming on my next holiday destinations. There are so many options. It is almost impossible to choose! It doesn’t really matter to me which place it will be. Good news about any place on the earth, there’s always plenty of things to explore!

Hola all! – Thoughts of today: I have a steep, unexpected and alternative learning curve. I know I consciously choose acquiring new skills by making quick progress in learning in a short time period. I think it has something to do with the fact that I have to take action when I know the motivation is there. If I let time pass by I know my motivation will simply disappear. It’s like the Dutch saying: “Het ijzer smeden wanneer het heet is!”. Also, I know that many times I take the alternative road to get to my goals. Even if people around me tell me it will be impossible or difficult. I always believe and hold on to the fact that there is a way if I just keep my eyes and ears wide open. In the last months I have set myself some goals I want to achieve in the coming period. Hard work, but worth the efforts! – Jane
