Luckiness overcomes you when you least expect it

That’s why I enjoy the small things in life like a good laugh with friends, the beautiful colors of trees in fall, a falling snowflake, someone holding the door for you, a received card from a friend or baking cookies. It’s those small things altogether in life that can makes me feel lucky. From these things I create energy to do the things I do.

I wanted to add the word “Sometimes” at the beginning of the opening sentence, but finally decided to leave it out. Reason? Things ALWAYS turn out to be different that you had expected. Situations in the supermarket, meetings at work, appointments with friends, you name it. What can you do against it? Not much, besides having the best intention to adjust to the situation you can possibly have. And with that the ability to get surprised. The more mature people get the less they allow themselves to be open to that… It can actually be inspiring to let yourself go with the flow and not to know what the outcome will be… be open to a sudden change of the situation you thought you were in.
