Ready for take off!

Saturday, March 6th, 2010

Hi y’all! I’m going on my well-deserved holiday. It’s about time to collect all the holidays I didn’t have in 2008/9 with people that are actually fun spending time with. No worries, no stress, no hidden agendas. Only good times! In case you think this is a luxury, it is not just like that. I have chosen to pick this road. I have worked hard to realize this. Anyone can do it. Only some courage and self-support is needed. take off

WOMEN Inc 2010

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

I’ve met some inspiring women tonight and collected some great new ideas! This is one of the WOMEN Inc 2010 evenings organized this week. The evening started with an Italian dining and wining with some of the visitors, Delicious pasta! Most of the women I’ve spoken to have a job in design/reporting or similar fields. Evidently an evening like this one attracts women of this kind. Tonight was about great women in design who influence our country nowadays. Speakers were Zuzanna Skalska (trendwatcher), Evelyne Merkx (interior architect), Ellen van der Wal (architect and partner Mecanoo), Anneloes van Gaalen (allround producer) and Liesbeth in ‘t Hout (head of AMFI-Amsterdam Fashion Institute). I found it funny to notice how many women were making notes in their notebooks. Feels a bit like I have found some similar species… we all want to be inspired! More right-brained people please! Check out Daniel Pink’s interview at Oprah’s on Why right-brainers will rule this century. amsterdam
